On April 15, Samsung Electronics and Google Cloud announced the extension of their partnership to launch a new home AI companion robot Ballie, which will integrate Google Cloud's generative AI technology. Ballie, which is scheduled to go on sale to consumers this summer, enables natural conversational interactions to help users manage their home environment, including adjusting lights, greeting visitors, personalizing schedules, and setting reminders. Ballie will leverage Gemini's multimodal capabilities and Samsung's own language model to process and understand multiple inputs.
